Janet Stolfi Alfano is the Executive Director of The Diaper Bank of Connecticut. Janet started at The Diaper Bank in 2007 as the Operations Manager and has been Executive Director since 2011. 

Alfano was appointed to the Governor’s Council on Women and Girls. She serves on the Embrace CT-InCK Partnership Council She is a member of the Guide Team for the MOMs Partnership.

 Alfano served on the Board of Directors of the National Diaper Bank Network, having served as its first board chair.   She served as Vice Chair of the Steering Committee for the CT Early Childhood Alliance (CT ECA) and as the Board Chair of the CT Alliance for Basic Human Needs (CABHN). She also served as a member of the New Haven Early Childhood Council.

She holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the UConn School of Social Work with a concentration in Policy Practice and a BA in Social Work from Saint Joseph College (now the University of Saint Joseph).

Danielle joined the team in 2020. Her experience varies from manufacturing to healthcare, specializing in inventory and philanthropic fund management. She is excited to be a part of the organization and was drawn to the community values, specifically in building strong and sustainable community resources. She is an active volunteer and believes in fostering positive change.

Kimberly was co-owner of a boutique marketing and design firm headquartered in Washington, DC, where she worked with small businesses, schools and nonprofits to build brand awareness and form strategic partnerships. She received the 2018 Women of Excellence Award for her philanthropic work, and sits on the Executive Board of Directors for the Shoreline Chamber of Commerce and the Board of Directors for a local arts organization.

Jenny Kohl

Jenny joined the team in July 2021 as the Community Outreach Coordinator where she oversees volunteer operations. Having been a graduate student interned at The Diaper Bank, she is passionate about the organization’s mission. She holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the UConn School of Social Work with a concentration in Community Organizing. She believes in the power of bringing people together to create positive change.

Yury Maciel-Andrews

Programs Manager

Yury joined The Diaper Bank of Connecticut in April 2013 as the Business Manager, and transitioned to Special Projects Manager in July 2020. She has over 30 years’ experience working with community based organizations, mainly those focused on improving the lives of children and their families in the United States and Europe. She previously worked for the New Haven Early Childhood Council, and also has 25 years’ experience working for fast-paced multinational corporations in administrative, customer service and human resources positions. She’s a polyglot and an NHPS volunteer.
